Company News Humble Beginnings Since 1999, Backyard Outfitters has been your choice for Spas, BBQ Grills, Smokers, Outdoor Kitchens and much more. In November of 2008, the economy as we knew it changed. We continued through 2009 hoping it would get better, but in November of 2010 we moved to 3002 I-70 Business Loop (Next to Dairy Queen) in an effort to reduce our overhead and still provide the services we had for the last 12 years. Then, in November of 2011, we decided to close the retail store completely and wait out the economic downturn. We sold primarily through our web site which did not allow us to maintain our Spa and Outdoor Kitchen product lines. That brings us to 2013! While the Western Slope continues to struggle economically, there is some light that may be shining at the end of this long tunnel! So, we have begun the process of coming back to life after a year plus hiatus. It has been difficult on our customers and us as well, so we hope to be able to offer products and expertise that can assist our exsisting and future customers. Like all trials and tribulations, they sometimes are required in order to make us stronger in the end. That is our hope. New Products, New Focus While we do not as of yet have a retail storefront, we will use this web site, our representatives and local advertising to communicate with our customers. Our focuss will be strictly on backyard features like Outdoor Kitchens, BBQ Smokers, Grills and fire features. We offer pre-fab, custom built and DIY Outdoor Kitchens. Our Pre-Fab kitchens are ordered from Lion Premium Grills which allows our customers to pick their grills, accessories and finishes. Our custom line of outdoor kitchens are just that. We work with you to design, build and deliver your outdoor kitchen to your specifications. Lastly, is our DIY line and method. We take your design or ours and we provide all the components for you to build your own! This is most flexible option because you have complete control and timing of your outdoor kitchen. All the while saving hundres if not thousands of dollars! Because we are an Ace of Hearts dealer, we offer the "Good One Charcoal" grill or oven for your outdoor kitchen! Very few 'Good' charcoal grills are even made for outdoor kitchens. Check out the galleries to see what they look like. Premium Line of Lump Charcoal When we quit selling the Big Gree Egg, we lost our ability to provide the BGE Charcoal which was one of the best lump charcoals. Things change and because we are an authorized dealer for 'The Good One" Smokers, they have their own line of Premium Lump Charcoal. This Premium OAK Lump is great, and I suspect maybe even better than BGE, we will let you decide. Now you can get quality lump charcoal which has not been available for the past year. We will keep it available in our work shop and we can either deliver it or you can stop by.
